This is a small dm map i'm putting together. I started this awhile back but never finished but it should be finished ethier this weekend or next. This new version is an alpha for now. Anyone who wants to test it as is can do so just send me a msg. If you dont like it well then sucks for you lol. Like I said if you would like to alpha test the map please let me know. I am also trying to figure out how to make my own custom textures its pretty hard in tf2. If anyone can help please send me a msg or post it on here.

the wood seems too thick, just worry about building the walls and then a simple roof, then look into the props because basically what valve does is decorate it with a bunch of props to make it look pretty, so they have alot to choose from.

This may sound a little rude but I think you should learn the basics first (hammer tools, texturing, lighting, detailing,...) before you try to create any custom materials. It's not that hard to create them but to make them fit with the TF2 style.

Try not to use any HL2 materials like the grass and change the sky to a TF2 sky. And for screenshots it's always better to compile with proper lighting because it just looks better with shadows.

Even for an alpha version that's not a lot you have to show but I hope you'll have fun learning mapping and creating maps for TF2. Keep it up.

It wasn't rude man. I can take critisism I know you guys are just trying to help me improve. I have been taking notes and junk on how to make textures. I finally got it but i'm trying to pick the right formats and everything. Right now I can't figure out what format to use for wood textures. I use the VTF plugin for photoshop any tips?
