Hi everyone, I am a long time tf2 player and lover of the game.

I decided to make my own koth map using many tutorials on this webiste and youtube.

I now have a map I want put onto my server to playtest it with my friends before moving on, but I don't know how to save it in the correct format or filetype for me to do this.

Any help would be great, many thanks

In Hammer, press F9 to compile. Run it on Fast to check for leaks, and once you have a playable, leak-free, properly-lit and properly-working version, run it on normal. Build cubemaps, use PackBSP to pack your custom content into the map file, then throw the .bsp onto wherever your fastdl is located. You can also .bz2 the .bsp to save some download time.

Thanks for the fast feedback, I have a few questions, how do I use PackBSP and my server says the file to be uploaded needs to be a .zip or a taz.gz, any ideas?

Also if someone could help me with using PackBSP that'd be awesome.

    Many thanks.

Well, PackBSP is pretty straightforward to use. You simply launch it and follow the instructions.

Elaborate on how "your sever says the file to be uploaded needs to be a .zip or a taz.gz".
