A question about new computers and steam games

Okay so i'm buying the parts for a new computer (and by Pyro it's a beast).

Now if I were to use the same steam account on this new computer could I use a flash drive to copy across my steam apps folder and the Games would run no problem without valve shouting at me?

Yes just right click the game and click backup files.

If you start the download on the games, then pause the downloads, close steam & replace the steamapps folder, then launch steam and restart the downloads, it'll work.
