    OK, so im just starting to get into TF2 mapping, so I am gona just dump all the questions I have here, and hope someone answers them! Thanks in advance! Il post more stuff in this thread as I run into them...
    1. How do you make ladders?
    2. How do I add props, like the custom ones from Boojum's collection?

    Im sorry to be such a noob, but where do I copy/paste them from

    EDIT: new question: How do I use the carve tool? Whenever I click it, just nothing happens.
    nvrmnd. I get it now. I should really play around more before asking lol...

    Yeah the carve tool is bugged and creates *heavy voice* eety beety teeny veeny *end heavy voice* brushes that don't optimize well. The clip tool is much more dynamic anyway.

    Create a brush with the top-side textured with water and all other sides with nodraw.

    Sorry to be nooby, but how do you apply textures to only one side?

    Press Shift + A to bring up the texture application tool and then select a face. Selected faces will have a red tint to them. Hold down CTRL to select multiple faces.

    Ya, ofcourse not but on the basic basic stuff, it usually is relatively correct... like the stuff hes asking; textures, water, (not going to say carve because many do mention it as a good method) etc.
