This feels way too longer than it was, took me over 20 seconds to reach the other side of the map as Scout. Also the rendering cuts off like after mid due to the distances.

What is with the mid though? The point itself is just a spam of wooden planks, filled with fences which hinder gameplay, the ramps under the point block almost all of the lower entrance.

There seems to be a odd mix of displacements and brushes around the point, though it probably makes more sense the rock brushes with displacements too? But that's just my opinion on it.

Also the spawn fences stick out of the wall and BLU spawn has a mix of red and blu textures, presumably you just missed to texture a few of them.

There are many too bright lights, and some weird bugs (like big, ugly shadows on walls)

Whole blue side is red side, with some small texture changes in spawn. You forgot to check and rotate some props (fe. railings in blue spawn)

There are many unaligned textures allover the map (which looks really bad).

Ramp under mid has some weird stairs (at least that's what it reminds me of).

Whole mid section is just one, big prop spam. You could do it without using so many wooden platforms and fences. Platform to the point itself is some weird brushwork. I see some kind of zig-zag in there.

I went through the map to look at things, oh boy.

On blue side you forgot to flip some props when flipping the entire map, leaving graphical issues all throughout blue side
Not to mention, majority of blue side still uses red textures besides the final base, you should always know which side of the map you are on based on your surroundings

Which side of the map am I on right now? Everything I see is red, but this is blue side.

There are many lighting issues and just straight up dark areas all throughout the map, would you enjoy getting sniped through that window by a sniper you cant see?
On that note, sniper sightlines. Holy shit.

Now granted I haven't played this map on a server with players yet, but I do play a lot of sniper and this is ridiculous
Snipers are given so many long open sightlines that they will be able to just destroy players on

Would you enjoy getting sniped from this spot at mid by players from the enemy spawn?

Not to mention that the map extends past where thins are being rendered, causing horrific pop in when running around the map which is incredibly unpleasing. I believe this openness is because the map you're taking from was built with the intention of fighting against ai controlled robots where a good sniper sightlines doesent hurt the gameplay, and frankly the robots could care less about op sightlines being used against them, but in pvp its a really REALLY bad thing. (Seriously have you been on the server when we've got a good sniper on? Nowhere is safe and they would gladly abuse this)

You have tons of graphical bugs all throughout the map, id get bored if I went through and tried to take a picture of each of them, but there are a few to note

some strange brushwork + displacement combos that looks really out of place and sloppy, I'm going to guess this is your attempt to mask the halfway point of the map and where displacements are meeting. If youre going to be using a valve map try and match their quality eh? This can slide though, it is in alpha

What is up with this ramp, no-clipping into it makes it look like there are a bunch of brushes meant to be a staircase steps here, but its a ramp?

And lastly ill agree with others, mid is a bunch of bland prop spam, this looks like it was made in gmod, and if you get knocked into the area below it and arent an explosives jumping class, well then you have to walk around a good bit to even get back up. Rip Heavy

I really think you'll be better off making a map from scratch on your own, you can look at valve map for ideas on layout and scaling, but stitching together a PvE map for PvP gameplay, its not going to go well. Good luck with this.

There are many too bright lights, and some weird bugs (like big, ugly shadows on walls)

Whole blue side is red side, with some small texture changes in spawn. You forgot to check and rotate some props (fe. railings in blue spawn)

There are many unaligned textures allover the map (which looks really bad).

Ramp under mid has some weird stairs (at least that's what it reminds me of).

Whole mid section is just one, big prop spam. You could do it without using so many wooden platforms and fences. Platform to the point itself is some weird brushwork. I see some kind of zig-zag in there.
Don't worry I have fixed everything with the help of feedback from my y friend that was on the sever.

I went through the map to look at things, oh boy.

On blue side you forgot to flip some props when flipping the entire map, leaving graphical issues all throughout blue side
Not to mention, majority of blue side still uses red textures besides the final base, you should always know which side of the map you are on based on your surroundings

There are many lighting issues and just straight up dark areas all throughout the map, would you enjoy getting sniped through that window by a sniper you cant see?
On that note, sniper sightlines. Holy shit.

Now granted I haven't played this map on a server with players yet, but I do play a lot of sniper and this is ridiculous
Snipers are given so many long open sightlines that they will be able to just destroy players on

Would you enjoy getting sniped from this spot at mid by players from the enemy spawn?

Not to mention that the map extends past where thins are being rendered, causing horrific pop in when running around the map which is incredibly unpleasing. I believe this openness is because the map you're taking from was built with the intention of fighting against ai controlled robots where a good sniper sightlines doesent hurt the gameplay, and frankly the robots could care less about op sightlines being used against them, but in pvp its a really REALLY bad thing. (Seriously have you been on the server when we've got a good sniper on? Nowhere is safe and they would gladly abuse this)

some strange brushwork + displacement combos that looks really out of place and sloppy, I'm going to guess this is your attempt to mask the halfway point of the map and where displacements are meeting. If youre going to be using a valve map try and match their quality eh? This can slide though, it is in alpha

What is up with this ramp, no-clipping into it makes it look like there are a bunch of brushes meant to be a staircase steps here, but its a ramp?

And lastly ill agree with others, mid is a bunch of bland prop spam, this looks like it was made in gmod, and if you get knocked into the area below it and arent an explosives jumping class, well then you have to walk around a good bit to even get back up. Rip Heavy

I really think you'll be better off making a map from scratch on your own, you can look at valve map for ideas on layout and scaling, but stitching together a PvE map for PvP gameplay, its not going to go well. Good luck with this.

- Added new building in middle Control Point to house a large health pack
- Updated the Middle Control Point Bridges to be Brush and not props
- Fixed getting stuck in the middle Control Point on the fence
- Fixed Fences on the Middle Control Point overlapping
- Fixed seeing threw a wall on blue side
- Updated the brush on middel to let you walk and not have to jump over the brush
- Updated the ramp on Middle Control Point to be shorter to not block the exit
- Updated the Middle Control Point to be captured on the below area
- Fixed a fence on blue not being fixed
- Added new small health pack under the control point
- Updated a wall on both sides to be shorter
- Updated the middeel ammopack to be middel of the area and made it a large ammo pack
- Updated many props to be properly flipped on blue side
- Fixed the tire on blue side not being inside the fence
- Updated many textures on blue side to use blue textures
- Fixed the junction box on blue to not float
- Added new small health packs to the under part of the map
- Updated many blue side props to use blue textures
- Added new sniper sight line blockers
- Updated the spectator points
- Fixed player being able to jump onto being that they should not be able to
- Updated many props around the map to be removed.

Why do you still have the "Upgrades" sign here? There are no upgrade stations (none in 3cp atleast). Also there are RED textures in BLU's spawn.

I'll say this: Mid is bonkers. The propspam is very prevalent and these bridges are overlapping (can't see with the shot though). The cap point is oddly placed amid the clutter. This area would greatly benefit from a rework with brushes replacing the props. Also, why do you use the opposite signs on the 1st shot? RED's signage should be on the RED side, not on BLU's.

Last of all, this may be an issue on my end but this view (from one of the info_observer_points) doesn't expose the full area. Try turning down the fog on this map (if not off entirely)

All in all, this map has alot of minor issues which I don't think have been fixed from the last update. Things pointed out by people such as @Flipy don't seem fixed or changed here.
Mid has no unique flavor to it, and I suggest you remake it entirely. You also seem to be using a megaton of props everywhere to provide cover and bridge areas, which isn't advised at all

You are using the wrong version of the map. I have fixed many of the things that you pointed out. Please look at the patchnots for the full list of changes.
Edit: I am going to work on the fog in the next update.

Well check the sever. I have been using the 4 version on that. I guess I miss typed and did not change it from 3 to 4. Or the website has a small but who knows. Please go to the tf2maps sever and put in the a4 version of the map. I will fixed this issue in the next update.

My friend, the problem seems to be that you have a lot of ambitious ideas but you yourself have very little experience making maps and using hammer.

I have a ton of ideas that I would love to work on, but I know that my inexperience in making maps would just lead me to making a bad map and not doing justice to my ideas.
If you want to repurpose valve maps to be something else then that's amazing, but just loading the map and hopping into hammer is just going to lead to a ton of mess that you're going to find very hard to fix if you don't understand what you're doing.

You are so, so much better off building a simple map from scratch to learn how a map works and learn from your mistakes. It sucks not being good, I know, I really want to be able to churn out a good map but I also know that takes time and experience.

If this is really how you want to start mapping then that's your choice, but in my opinion you're going to have a bad time.

If you want a map that was from scratch. Look at Koth Pro Fire Jungle.
Edit: Well my friends think its a good map. That is most important to me. That my friends like the map.
