3D Skybox and Shadows

Hello everyone,
I know that things inside the skybox cast shadows on the normal map. My problem is that I want it the other way: Things inside the normal map should cast shadows on the skybox. At the moment it looks like this:

The trees and buildings are placed inside the normal map and the shadows stop immediately as soon as the 3D-Skybox starts. Is there any way that the shadows continue inside the skybox?

I don't think so. Just extend the back of that area until the shadow ends.

Maybe a light block textured brush into your skybox. But Psy advice is largely easier. Don't hesitate to use vertical différence to séparate the normal area and skybox : small walls, fences. It's easier to make both area fit together.
