    hi guys,

so, this is what i'm seeing:
    blue top, black walls.

    using 'sky_dustbowl_01'
    the map has no leaks
it was compiled without RAD, VIS or HDR, or any additional game parameters

edit: the cause is actually a cvar that's in my fps-config. i'll do some testing later to try and find which cvar is causing it.

Well there's your problem. Compile with VRAD and VVIS set to at least fast.

I put together a video covering the steps of the compiler, if you're interested.

    thanks!
i've compiled maps without RAD and VIS in the past, and they would show the skybox correctly.
so i figured that wasn't the issue..

i'll take a look at your video :)
    cheers

edit: even when set to Fast or Normal, the skybox shows up the same :/
is there something else that i might be missing..?
the map currently has no lightsources or env_cubemaps, could that be the issue?
does the skybox at least need a specific entity for it to show up correctly?

edit: light_environment, env_sun and shadow_control? i'll see if adding those three fixes it.

edit: wow. after a bunch of testing, i found out that the issue is actually the fps-config i downloaded for TF2.
the last update apparently has messed up one (or multiple) command(s).
if i find which command(s) it is/they are, i'll probably come back here and edit OP.
