So the pyro is now ultimate anti-spy!
So how many HW hits per removed sapper?
I haven't tested it personally, but what I've heard is one hit to remove the sapper, but it's bugged in that it doesn't remove the sapper at the other end of a TP pair.
That might be intentional?
Hardly. That lets pyros grief their team. Again.
It's like the sticky refelcts all over.
And Valve continues to support turtling.

Does anyone else feel like this is an enormous nerf for the Spy?
I mean, now just about all he can do is backstab...
You must be pretty bad to believe that a single upgrade to an underpowered weapon completely nerfs the Spy.
Well, I do main soldier, but IMHO, this makes the sapper almost totally useless if a pyro can come along and knock it off.
We'll just have to wait and see
The pyro also has to have found, and using the homewrecker, which I'd still not swap out over the axetinguisher
Axtinguisher > All, especially nowe that the actual flamethrower is less useful than a pistol.
Keep in mind also that the pyro can't repair what's being sapped. But more importantly, if there's a pyro hanging around a sentry, that means there's teamwork going on. If the spy wants to be effective against that, maybe the answer is to get some teamwork of his own.
This isn't op, if a pyro is around an engineer's buildings during a spy attack it will fail anyway. All this allows the pyro to do is help if the engineer died and the spy auto-sapped.

You'd need a dedicated anti-spy pyro for this to work, who is using the homewrecker out of THEIR OWN FREE WILL. Not gonna happen.
If you're lucky the pyro will choose to remove your sappers leaving you alone and able to retreat.
I already stick around sentries during massive enemy waves just to blast stickies and pipebombs away.
Yet I won't give up that Axtinguisher
Once I get it I'll probably always use it, just because I am horrible at melee attacks and usually results in my death anyway.
