  • Just updated my signature. I've had the same joke there since I joined, and I'm still very incredibly proud of it.

If you really want to push the joke even further, get some func(y) Crocs. Just my thought.
i have both my map libs sections and my dustdawn entry to finish but instead I'm working on some april fools gimmick what is wrong with me
Copied a valve popfile to test my MvM map. Some robots aren't spawning. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I just found the most confusing bug in TF2. Certain projectiles will get destroyed when entering the bounding box of a func_tracktrain.

I figured why the bug sometimes manifests and other times doesn't. The bug only affects projectiles with projectile penetration. I was testing in MvM, and the times where the RR and Huntsman got destroyed mid-air was after I had purchased the projectile penetration upgrade. Bison particles have built-in penetration. Next test will be to determine if this affects hitscan weapons.

This bug does not affect penetrating hitscan weapons. Also, func_brush entities seem to cause the issue, possibly other entities as well.

Managed to partially reproduce the issue in a controlled setting: Made an empty map with only an angled func_tracktrain brush and an upgrade station for testing. In this scenario, the bug does not affect bison projectiles, but it did affect penetrating RR and huntsman projectiles.

func_door, func_door_rotating, and func_movelinear all also have this issue, and presumably any other dynamic moveable brush entities. I'm going to submit a bug report to the TFTeam, and in the meantime I guess we'll just have to put up with this. It only affects a small area of my map under very specific conditions, anyway.
Is it possible to detect the sandman ball in a trigger? I have the class filter set up and I've tried all the trgr flags, but it doesnt work
The images showing in the slideshow for scorched earth are wrong. Is there some way to remove them from the slideshow without deleting them?

Unfortunately not, all images in the Overview tab of a download are included as part of the cover slider. However, images on update pages are NOT included in the slider, so that may work as an alternative if you would like to keep images as a record. In a worst-case scenario, you could always create a Imgur gallery or something to host the original images and provide a link in the overview.
Wow, a lot of birthdays today. Might be a coincidence, but I suspect many were too lazy to change the default birth date on their profile.

Still though, happy birthday to those who actually were born today.
So here's a problem I've been having for my entire TF2 career, and I cannot find a solution: The scoreboard mouse mode doesn't work. (Cont)

I can bring up the mouse using the tf_scoreboard_mouse_mode command, but I can't actually interact with the scoreboard. Clicking on user's names does nothing but cause the highlight on my own name to flicker. Right-clicking yields the same effect. Very few people seem to be talking about it online and no solution I've found works. I don't suppose anyone here knows the solution?

You need to be alive in order it to work properly. And even at that, it doesnt. The mouse appears at times when it should not appear. I dont think there is a fix. It works fine in CSGO, but not in TF2.

I assume the command does the exact same thing as pressing the button 'Enable mouse input through scoreboard' (in misc settings), but I've never really had massive issues with it aside from it being very hard to select some people.
I've had the nearly-finished Cathedral B1 sitting around on my computer for a while. I should really wrap that up...
