Here's the Third beta version of my KoTH map: base. I know its a bad name but whatever, give me some pointers okay?

This is pretty much my first fully-playable tf2 map and I'd like some feedback.

The capture area looks like an interesting blend of close quarters combat and fighting from above. The outside area could do with some work but as you say, its a first beta test so forget about that for now - focus on gameplay!

yeah, I've uploaded it to a private server and I'm going to test it out as soon as i can get some of my friends on it

Maybe its just me but from screenshots looks very small, maybe move the side buildings further apart from middle to open some more space?

I agree with n30n, you could very easily expand the area around the building and add some elevated levels.

thanks a bunch guys! I think I'll do just that.

yeah, I changed the lighting alot, actually. If you download the old version and this version and play them, you'll see how much better it looks now.

I took out the lights in the main point as well. Thought they were useless.

This map crashes my local server (and game too) with Source engine error:
Bad brushside texinfo

Also, it crashes my public server.

Time to fix obvious bug, nik. ;)

I'm sorry but I don't know what the "obvious bug is". I've tested this map on my local server, and my friends public server with several people who have had no problem playing on it. Not to mention countless friends I asked to load on a local server, without a problem. I looked up this type of error and it seems to be a problem with your corrupted map file. Try deleting it and redownloading. Thanks for the feedback though

Feedback from gameday:

Everything is too small, especially the hallways leading out of spawn.

The building in the center is also too small, ceilings on the bottom floor.

You need to player clip the entrance to the crates on the top.

The map does have potential, you just need to fix up the bugs as well as making things a bit bigger and easier to run through.

I think you got all of this during gameday, but I wanted to write it down

yeah, thanks alot of replying here. you guys were a real help, I'm going to start working on that.

there's a few other things, like putting nobuild in the spawns to prevent teles, and taking out that one spawnpoint in blue thats actually a red spawnpoint :|
