Damn this is tough. Gadget, your epic secret bog, underground intel room and Weapon Crate Assembly I think take the show, but I have to mention how much I loved Lordned's tree fort, Mr Muffin's fantastic shipping lock, Phil's superbly detailed swamp (despite it's curious lonely, midle-of-the-water drip), Re1wind's great trainline, ScreamingGerbil's suspended tree-bridge, Tanuki's excellent cliff-face, and TeamNHK's strangely pleasant and pretty swamp.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the easiest way to look at 48 fast.
I think this is correct but i would open the bsp in tf2 using create server and keep changing map.

First, make sure you have the console enabled (Options -> Keyboard -> Advanced -> Developer console).

Then, open the console with the ` key, and type (with the quotes): bind "F11" "mp_waitingforplayers_cancel 1"

Then for each map, open the console and (filling in the right map name of course) type: map swamp_xxx

You can then press F11 to cancel the "Waiting for players" countdown so that the game won't force-respawn you after 30 seconds.

I played through all of the maps and It really was a tough choice, but after finding Gadgets underground base I was sold. The crate assembly machine is pure gold.

Hey, Mr. Muffin man!

picture.php

What was this suppose to be?

Oh, awesome, I used the custom version of Hoodoo's paint rather than the official one. There goes my chance of getting any more votes, I guess.

I doubt it will be an issue. If it makes the winning/losing vote then yeah throw their vote out but I don't think it's worth dicking with the results right now.

Well, that took a while. Ended up voting for eerieone, although there were a handful of other great ones.

Anyone not taking the time to spectate-fly about each map is really cheating themselves - particularly out of some fantastically well done areas a single screenshot couldn't capture and an awesome secret area or two on a couple amazing submissions (Check Gadget's out - seriously).

Well several of these people have already asked for it to be fixed so that they may make real votes. Otherwise it's just a waste of active entrants.

This contest is in one way a great success and in another a big failure

 It is the contest with most submission (right?)

 With this many submissions it's likely noone or atleast only the topvoted ones get useful feedback, the reason I join your contest isn't to win anything but to learn, and that's why I loved it when it was just enough submissions for everyone to get good feedback from several people. The other thing as that half of the submissions don't get a single vote. Would be great if there was a system where you get "points" to give to the submissions you like, like 3pts to someone, 2pts to another one and 1point to a third so you get three votes.

Too bad the pollsystem of the forum doesn't approve :(

Mildlymad, you get my vote.
LordNed, you have tooooo much spare time!

Oh so now you won't vote for me cause I put alot of time into mine? :(

I actually didn't spend a ton of time on it. I worked on it over 2 or 3 weeks and just got the basis blocked out, threw it out, started over, then did the entire tree-house in a day or two and the second building in another day. Add in a third day for color correction and the background displacements and call it a contest entry.
