Turning brushes that have been vertexed into displacements

So I'm trying to make a small little cliff type thing. I made the basic shape out of brushes, and then I used the vertex tool to create the "ramps". The problem is that whenever I try to turn them into displacements, the side of the ramp disappears leaving only the top. I tried to work around this by displacing a square brush to hell and back trying to get a ramp, but then it's not very uniform and it gets all squished up near the floor.

There must be some way to displace a ramp. halp plx.

You can make multiple sides of a brush into a displacement.

Also, remember that displacements must be 4-sided.

I've been just selecting the three visible faces of the brush and turning them into a displacement. Is that what's causing this to happen?

Just to be clear, this is what happens:

ALRIGHT NEVERMIND I FIGURED IT OUT
