PL_Flow is a singlestage payload map (badwater-style) with 4 capture points in a Swampy setting. The Payload is a boat that needs to be transported along the water path. There are several reroutes and different ways of attacking/defending to give all classes a chance to do something useful.

The alpha 1 only contains 2 control points, the two last will hopefully be added in the next alpha.

What I want feedback on:

- Gameplay flow; is the map balanced, will BLU/RED always have an advantage?
- Class Balance; will all classes be played?
- Lighting; as I've chosen a night setting for the map, some places might get a bit dark. Where do the lights need to be changed?
- Anything that you can think of.

TODO's:

- There are lots of bugged/ugly displacements.
- Work with lighting.
- Detailing everywhere.

Looks very good i dont have too much problem with water just make sure your cubemaps work :p

This looks like a good idea, I'll be sure to test after you add the next few control points. What would be nice is if you or somebody else created a swamp boat styled Payload to move along - That would be really nice.

So far, looking good :)

It does NOT kill the pyro, maybe the W+M1 ones though =P On the other hand, in most places the water isn't so deep you can put out fire in it, so pyros will have their fun too =D I just felt like a mining track in the middle of a swamp would be a little strange.

And about the custom model; if somebody would make one I'd be soo happy. The current one is... well, you can't say it's very pretty.

Wow, very nice mode! What will be the ending, the boat falls down from a giant waterfall where red HQ is and explode all their evil underwater projects? That would be an awesome ending!

Change the cart/boat so that the dispenser is not the engineer dispenser and try to group it with the bomb (a new model would be nicer tho). I Might want to do a small draft of what could be cool, give me 2-3 days!

This is a really cool idea! I would recommend seeing if you could get a custom model for this, though, it'd look a little less weird. For alpha versions that's perfectly fine though.

Some of the cart paths, judging from the HUD, look like there's a bit too big of a gap between the checkpoints, though. I guess it depends on how it plays though.

EDIT: Oh wait this is a Badwater-style stage and you only had two points in place. My bad :U

NOOOOOOOOO I can't believe someoen else did this too! I'm sort of half working on pl_bog where the payload is a boat, but it's just a simple boat for now.

It's a great idea and I hope it works. Looking good in the screenies, but have you/will you nobuild the water? I was thinking I would in mine becuase it's gonna be hard to spot a sentry underneath the water.

I'm considering that, but I will have to playtest it before I decide. In some places it appears you can't build anyway, so we'll see. Anyhow, in most places the water isn't so deep a sentry wouldn't be visible.

I unfortunately can't DL at the moment, but I have a quick question:

How deep is the water? Do you have to swim or is it knee high so you can walk around?

There's a normal cart dispenser in the models section. It's in a pack of separated payload models. Also being a pyro and rushing the cart never works anyway due to the dispenser.
