No idea what to do about this. This image was taken from a full compile.

  • Are there lights there at all? (just to be sure :p)
  • Are the lights inside the props
  • Do you have a leak?

That most reminds me of an area where's there's no light at all, you get the weird coloured shadows in that too. So yeah, check the lights aren't inside the props or anything (maybe check the shadows on some of those vent fans as well).

Emh, I had weird black shadows in my blu spawn when there were a few leaks in my map. When I fixed those leaks the weird black and dark shadows were gone.

So load up the pointfile and look for leaks. :p

What is the lights colour/brightness set to?
Are those vents a prop? , because if they are you may need to disable there shadows etc.

Also try using an info_lighting to give you accurate control over where the prop samples its light from.

The lights have default settings, but it's red instead of white.

No props in the way, all world brushes, etc.

The models are lit, but not the world... sometimes. the lights further down the vent work right, but these don't

I don't get it.

Does it still happen with the final-quality compilation? It's present in both LDR and HDR, right?

Look at that image, the collision model for the light is sideways and intersecting the light.
