Does anyone else think it's weird that in the popular valve maps Gravelpit and Dustbowl, the team called Reliable Excavation and Demolition is defending, while the Builders League United is attacking? I mean, don't their names imply the reverse?

If the team's names justify their visual styles in terms of building structures, shouldn't they also suggest the gameplay too? What're your thoughts on building maps around this "storyline" when valve themselves ignore it?

I guess you're right, but it doesnt take anything away from the game for me. There were probably other more important things to consider when they reworded the acronyms

It doesnt bother me either way.

in bloodstained blu are defending simply because in all the stockmaps to date red have been defending which means all the geometry is red-orientated. I wanted the opposite

Blue is attacking so they can take those Red buildings down and build something solid out of concrete... :001_rolleyes:

Na, I just think it is because being Red the defender, then the (as Youme already said ^^) the geometry will be Red orientated. That gives the designers more things to work with than the more solid, square blue design.

BTW, my cp_steelmill will be blue defending, because, well, just try to make a red styled steelmill... :p

A big wooden bucket containing boiling hot steel, I dont see anything wrong with that. ;)

 lol!

ya, I ran into the red/blue textures variances thing too. Its tough to make a blue barn or a red sewage plant and make it look fitting :001_huh:
