Picking an Audiosurf TF2Maps-song

I've noticed several members are playing Audiosurf (me including), so it might be nice to have one or several TF2Maps-song(s) to compete eachother.

I've run a search on my mp3 dir on "build", "map" and "create":
Sarah McLachlan - Building a mystery
Fatboy Slim - Build it up - tear it down
Muse - Map of the Problematiqué
Queen - Is this the world we created

Not the best results for Audiosurf...

Anyone better suggestions?

EDIT: Although Fatboy Slim's song isn't his best one, it does produce a nice (mostly) downhill ride...

they do a different mode, and its not about getting ALL the blocks, its about getting the RIGHT blocks

I like mono best, you get 25% bonus for a clean finish as well as a 30% bonus for not hitting a single grey.
:D

LOL, surfing Rick Astley :)
And it is not a bad ride either. But surfing on elite (ninja mono is my fav) is almost every song okay.

Try O.T. Quartet's Hold that sucker down. Old house classic with a downhill ride.

For TF2Mappers songs: Peter Gabriel - Sledge Hammer

So, do you think Audiosurf is worth the $10? I was not really sure so I have held out. Also, I heard it came with the Orangebox sound track, can you listen to that seperate from the game?

The Orangebox Soundtrack is just a folder in the Audiosurf dir. All mp3's so, copy and play!

The game, for me it was worth the $10. Its a nice game to play for 10-15 minutes, to fill some time-gaps in the day planning or just venting off some steam.

I am a bit disappointed though in the rate they fix bugs...
In todays update 6 things updated, but looking closely reveals they just fixed only 2(!!) bugs. And those are not my reported bug about not being able to play mp3's from a different PC on the LAN (although there is the workaround by mapping that share to a network drive).

cool. Its worth it for me just to get the Orange box soundtrack, not that I had not already acquired "Still Alive" but now its legit :)

I play lots of remixes from OCRemix.org, and some of those are pretty intense. I had one electronica mix from Sonic 2 called "Chemical Juice" that had 374 traffic congestion. Some of the rock mixes from various games are really good too.

Feel free to add "apex_" as a friend. I'd be happy to give remix recommendations to you :)

A couple songs I think are the most fitting mapper theme songs:

- Harder Better Faster Stronger by Daft Punk... we're always working harder to make our maps better and faster and... something, stronger creativity? :D
- The Shaping of the World from the World of Warcraft soundtrack. The title is obvious, and it sounds very epic like it could be set to a video of planetary terraforming :p
