I'm feeling really REALLY happy, because I've been waiting to make a KOTH map for a long time, just didn't want to because of the possibility that Valve would make it official. Lo and behold! :D :D :D

EDIT: Meaning that I was waiting for Valve's playtesting to prove that: A-- The mode works well B--See A.

Suddenly we see a new feature to TF2. Players will be able to leave the game while a bot takes over for them... other players will feel the hardships as said bot bumbles along, attempting to heal everyone and wander about only follow the active player's movement, taking their time grabbing every item they can see. They'll be the target of the enemy team, as once the survivors leave him behind he'll be easy bait for the hunter....

Whoops wrong game.

Loved the hidden Australian newspaper cuttings, particularly as an Australian. If there's anyone we like taking a dig at, it's ourselves.

To this day our King still has his residence on top of that hill. We never got around to studying it, but Ayer's Rock was too cowardly to be worth studying.

I just have one question: Do New Zealanders actually hate you guys?

The symbol with the kangaroos has some latin, I think roughly translated is "Everything written is not what you see". Interesting?

I ran it through an online translator. It supposedly translates to "whole knowledge , not any dramatis." The last word apparently didn't translate, though I think it's 'drama.' My best guess is that it means "All knowledge, no drama." Which is the exact opposite of the Steam Forums.

New blog update from the Announcer, echoing the cries of woe from snowy mapmakers.

The shoutout to cp_glacier has been on the update page for a while, though, but I guess that didn't stop the complaints, huh?

Reckon this will make some of you feel a little better? It involves bludgeoning with staplers and more firings. :D

Oh yea, it's been a while since we've had an Announcer post. :D

Viaduct is also the first Team Fortress map to take place during a snowfall (not counting Acegikmo’s awesome cp_glacier map, or for that matter all the other community mappers who manage to think up and execute on all the cool stuff before we even think of it).

I'm really glad they added all this.
It does make me feel better :)
I hope Valve will consider adding glacier as a community map at some point.

Guys. Look at the poor, presumtuous Irishman...

http://www.teamfortress.com/classless/hidden/hats/

He bears a striking resembalance to a certain Autralian king, does he not?

http://www.teamfortress.com/classless/hidden/coward_mound/

So in the midst of those 81 years he gets sent to Australia (most likely for murdering the Gentle Manne of Leisure) and slowly works his way to become king?

In all honesty... this isn't too much of a stretch for Valve :p Maybe the G-Man picked him up for use later to capture that bloody hill.
