Hi guys,
I'm planing a really big map project for TF2.
I already made my map [ame="http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?p=65209#post65209"]pl_alpine[/ame] and
while beta testing it someone sayd: "It really looks like
a cute alpine village" ... and this was the idea ^^
Pl_Alpine wasn't bad, but it had really performance problems,
because it was one of my first maps and I had to test out many
things.
Now I know much more about map designing and performance
issues, and so I want to start a new map - A cute alpine village
with many small houses and stores etc.

But as you can see, it's a really big project, especially because
you have to creat most of the objects by your own.
So I'm searching a good mapper who wants to work
on that project together with me.
I can work with blender and make most of the objects, we need.
I need more help in creating good looking textures for the
objects and of course in planing and designing the final map.

So I hope sb is interested in my idea and could support me.
And because I also want to have my map perfect and full
of details it could be a longer project even for 2 persons ;)

it's only a sketch to show the general design of the map ... exactly that place
wont exist in the final map. I only wanted to show you how the stores etc. should
look like.

With cute you mean Overlord/Guild Wars pre-searingstyle?

Since I already made a lot of textures/models for my contest entry that has that style ;)

Includes: Sunflowers, grape plants, Ivy, a lot of colored detail flowers. ect.

Would the buildings be small cottages and stuff?
Or still retain the alpine minging/wood theme?

k ... the houses and stores should be made out of stone, but don't look realistic ...
they should look to small for the rest of the world ... (cute!) ^^ ... hm ... how should
I explain it ... maybe a bit like in BF Heroes: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMA02pL9uc8"]YouTube - Battlefield Heroes Gameplay[/ame]

Hope you understand what I mean ^^

I followed the link to your payload map, it looks great. If you could reproduce the same alpine effect in this one...

I'd love to help, I'm pretty good with photoshop (I'm a graphics designer), but I've never tried texture mapping before, so I'm not so sure.

... that's what I'm searching for ^^

I'll release them with my map, so if you start with dev blocking out your map, you can use them when you're ready to detail your map.

Thx :p ... and I can reproduce it for sure ;) ... your photoshop skills
are great and I also like you Avatar (I'm such a Zelda fan ... so especially
for you I can give you the example of Kakariko Village in Zelda Ocarina of Time ^^
To creat such an idyllic village would be perfect ;))
So I can imagine a good work with you ...
(We can keep on talking in steam ^^)
