How come neither of the females (and half of the guys) don't visit us in our cozey chat room? :S

I have a few theories why but... D:

I'm surprised at how low the average age is. The level of maturity around here is a lot better than than you would expect with most users being that young.

Indeed. Today's current game developers (such as Robert Briscoe and Dario Casali) didn't begin modding until they were in their 20s, and that was primarily a hobby and not an intended job choice.

Then there's the total failures like me and Matt.

Then there's the masterminds like Nineaxis and Void, who are younger but more successful.

At this rate, we can expect to see fetuses modding from within the womb (laptop + wifi connection to Dropbox).

"Is it a boy or a girl, doctor?"
"It's...it's making a new Left 4 Dead campaign!"

I like to this is because of my use of the creepy bear avatar for so long :p Once mighty and imposing, now I am simply the Pig Humper :crying:

Wow. I'm totally surprised by these results, and I'm feeling kind of foolish. Here I was thinking that most of the common names (Nineaxis, Void...) were at least in their twenties, like DJive. But I guess I was totally wrong.

I'm doing Bioresource Engineering at McGill, Montreal.

Male, 19.

PS: Kudos to all of you young mappers who have the focus and discipline to actually turn out maps. I always get ideas, but I never manage to follow through with them. Hopefully those of you who plan to work game design will have a very successful career.

Best of luck.

Wow, Narkissus, I live in WA, too! Although, it is more like Maple Valley rather than Seattle.

Also surprised by the ages. I knew some of you guys were younger than you acted, but I didn't figure younger than myself.
