I just had an intereting idea.

Since TF2M has just spawned a brand new theme. I think it would be appropriate for an epic collaboration. I think wes should do a 5 CP map like Steel, decke out in swamp theme, with bits done by anyone who signs up.

What do you say, community?

Penguin, one thing you could do though is once the competition is done is maybe find a couple of the submissions that you like and think would work well together and then talk with them specifically about pulling them together.

Though I think the main thing is to just wait and see what is produced and then work from that to make the collaboration work.

That was a direct coop effort, we were talking in steam constantly throughout the whole thing, and one of us did the majority of the mapping so thats why it has consistency. A multi person collab however is prone to less talking, vastly differing styles/skills between different mappers and large chunks are done indipendantly...

so there is no comparison between what this project is likely to turn out to be and the project that was furnace creek.

The thing that makes me sad about the swamp theme is that it will be a while before any truly unique maps come out using it. I absolutely love how it looks.
