This is my new map, windswept(name will change, this is what it was called when it was still desert themed)

It's sawmill theme with industrial buildings. It's currently in alpha, and has some dev textures and cube map issues. A few doors don't visually open, but still function properly. There's no 3d skybox. There's a few places that have player clips but no fences, use common sense and don't try to walk off the map, you can't. Rain going through roofs is a known issue, I'll use the custom rain later. Some arrow signs are just temporary. Sloppy alpha painting is known, I spent like five minutes on it for alpha ONE.

It's push cp with 5 cps symmetrical like any other map. It has a well inspired middle (hoping to change it, because it looks C&P'd) and has trains.

You can't rocket jump over ANY building besides the ones at CP 2 / 4.


I'm looking for feedback on the middle / last points, as I can't decide what kind of cover to give the last point and what to put in the middle / how to change it. Some side passages are really empty atm, I'll detail them later.

hmna, the lighting seems very diffuse, there is a lack of contrast and shadows in the screenshots

in addition to that, the displacement-alpha is very rough, try painting with a weaker brush

It's just an alpha I don't think visuals are his top concern atm.

Weird, I c&p'd sawmills light stuff. Edit: looking at sawmill, there's not many shadows on it either. Not many shadows when it's raining. :/ It's also probably because I forgot to turn my shadows up. Oh well, it's in alpha right now and I don't really care about the visuals atm.

I only threw in textures / rain / alpha because last time I released a map the only critism I got was "NEEDS DISPLACMENTS" /facepalm

I'll add some lights onto the buildings later.
