Description:

Mining, on the moon, in a bubble! why not, fun themes are fun.


Back story:

Ive been waiting to make a map for a while now. Playing QL nightly for the last week or so made me miss detail in a map that most TF2 maps lack. So I have this map in my head.. from Quake 3 Arena that i REALLY wanted to make into something for TF2, the problem is, the map AT BEST could only support 6v6 CTF at best. So I kept the basic design around the flag, but changed everything else. Lets see how it works out though.

The name is hopefully to me to keep me on goal and to finish a map.. for once. If alpha goes well i plain to make this an amazing looking map.

This is my Muse.

Looks like a good layout and I think it could play well. One question though, where's the intelligence?

The layout looks interesting, though I'm worried there might not be enough opportunity for vertical play. I look forward to seeing how you manage to pull off the lunar theme.

This sounds great! I was pondering doing an arena map in a space station orbiting mars. Lemme know if you release the skybox/textures publicly.

I'm using the word Muse as in a source of inspiration, not as a band name.

Are you going to use some of your old moon map in it?

Yep, as to which parts im not to sure yet, but i plan to have a bit in here. *which is why i wanted to keep space themed maybe.

What about Temple? I liked that map. :(

It seemed to lose steam/interest in the community so I dropped my own interest in in it more or less.

Problem is the game type is still not supported on top of the layout not being friendly to all classes. I felt Engineers had a advantage of sorts however most everyone felt they were useless.

Plus i just thought.. I lost all those files when my PC crash happened. ='(

Just a small update.

Not much to look at currently. I'm mostly done with the top floor give or take some doors.

I noticed that my spawn area.. plays much better not being a spawn area =p and staying open. So ill keep it open for play and have to think of another spot to have player spawns.

Hopefully ill start/finish the 3 passages to the basement tonight and be able to get some of the basement done.

I really need to start working on spawn area's.

I'm taking a different path this time around.. I'm actually making a pure alpha, not like my older detailed alphas, so this should allow me to focus more on the gameplay.. hopefully hopefully..
