here is the image of the layout of the dock at alcatraz that I am working on. the sub is 310 feet long or 4960units. which means the dock is super long too with nothing breaking up the void. any suggestions as to how I break it up without adding additional buildings...I was looking into func_viscluster but wasn't sure how to implement it.

meh. there's no crane on the island except for a small service one. I might throw it in but I want to keep it as visually representative of the island.

Stacks of crates. Both empty and full. I'd imagine an island prison would require a steady stream of cleaning supplies, food, office supplies, clothing, lightbulbs, and any raw materials for prisoner work programs such as making license plates or bookbinding. Assuming that either RED or BLU (or both) have taken up residence and are using the island for some nefarious purpose, such as a mind control laser aimed at the mainland or an operations center, you'd probably have need of other things such as electronics gear, construction equipment, and so forth.

Could probably get away with adding a few giant spools of cable, and maybe a front end loader or forklift as well. Add some pallets and you're all set.

like it like it. There are definitely a lot of supplies hanging around the docks. Plenty of spots to hide behind and take cover. This is RED's island and BLU is here to either blow it up or capture it for some reason not quite known yet. in the mean time. As I have added pieces, the load time and frame rate has increased! Here are some images of the dock so far...I'll look and see if I can find some reference material for you!

I found one. as you can see I took some liberties with the dock but I want to keep most of the buildings historically accurate.

Jackpot! I just found a 141 page document accounting the history of just Building 64 (which is the large one on the dock) it includes blueprints, floorplans including the sewer system!!! Sweet! I'll be working on this one next. It will probably take a while since this is the second largest building on the island. probably won't complete every room in it. Sniper heaven. might just make the floors open. Look for updates!!
