Hey guys, long time reader first time poster yadda-yadda, great forum Sorry in advance for the undoubtedly noob-ish question.
Have had this problem for a while and Google + forum search and Valve wiki hasn't really helped, so I've come out of the shadows to consult the pros.
My problem is alpha painting on surfaces. Dabbled a bit with Hammer a year or so ago and thought I'd try to get back into it now. I'm having the same problem that I was, now on an entirely different PC.
So I lay down a base ground texture - select the blend texture I want to paint over the top (say, some blendgrass) and go to paint alpha (as many vids and tuts show)... BUT no matter what my blend, it just paints on those weed sprites, pic below illustrates what I mean:
Followed the description on Valve's documentation, some Youtube vids and tutes on the forum, but just doesn't work as described for me
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
