Starting a train as disabled?

If the train is only to be used in one round out of three, would it be advisable to keep it starting disabled until the round it is needed?

If so, would just disabling the models suffice?

Is this "train" your payload model, your payload model's func_tracktrain, or another type of "train".

an actual train (like in Well), with optimistically added carriages

*WARNING USELESS REPLY AHEAD*

I totally misread the title of this thread as "Starting as a Train disabled?"

10th class has been leaked! You can play as the payload train! XD

I would think if it's in another round, it's in another part of the map not visible from other rounds. If this is correct it should not be rendered anyway.

You can test what is rendered and what is not by loading your map, turning on sv_cheats ("sv_cheats 1" in console) and then turning on wireframe ("mat_wireframe 1" in console).

Anything you can see the wire frame of is being rendered at that time. If things are being rendered that you don't want take a look at some optimization tutorials.

Hmmm okay thanks, I havn't actually gotten round to any visual optimizations at all, but since it won't be rendered when I implement some, should not be much of a problem - thanks!
