Thanks Captain. I'm not doing any updates until at least August. I want servers to have enough time to play this version and are able to play it and give feedback. I didn't make a FPSB page so the only people running it should also know about this thread, so hopefully I'll get more input from people who have played older versions.

The next release will the be the absolute last time I open hammer, so don't worry about version glut.

Thanks, I'll take a look at both of those.

Do "block bullets" brushes stop pyro flames?

The one way gate near RED's spawn leading to the area just before the slope to the final cap is really annoying! If you're on BLU and manage to get behind the gate (where RED would be able to trigger the door to open) it doesn't open.

I agree... the "team" only doors in general are a little bit annoying. Initially I had one way doors, but I wanted to give blu a greater advantage with their shortcut doors so I made them activate only for one team but can be opened from both sides. The red door is set up that way just to maintain door behavior consistency.

I can't think of any problems w/ making the doors regular one way doors though. I'll give it a shot.

Okay, three things I want to get off my chest for this otherwise excellent map:

1. The dark rocks in the attached screenshot don't fit. They used to be as bright as the ones on the left side in swift. I guess they're supposed to look shadowy now, but they're open in the sun.

2. The new mine tunnel still looks a bit bland. A few props like barrels or crates wouldn't hurt

3. The sawblade accident at the red spawn is missing the sawblade and the warning sign. Did you intentionally remove it?

Thanks! I think the rocks got moved slightly and the origin ended up under the displacement. I just added an info_lighting to take care of that.

The cave will get a detail pass, the passage was new and I wasn't sure if it would stay. It has played quite well and I'll touch it up a little bit

I changed the accident scene blade to the spinning blade but forgot the change the prop type to dynamic. Thanks for the heads up.

Here's a recorded demo of pl_swiftwater_rc being played on the Couch Athletics server last night. LINK

This was the first time I've played swift since the "final" release of... pl_swift. The map is still very fun and all the changes definitely seem for the better, great job :thumbup: In the demo the teams were not really balanced at all, but eh, still a good time :p.

The only problem I had was one tiny little thing. In this image the door seems to be both one way and team specific (it's the one near the first cap point). Is there a reason for that? I think it would be better if it was just one way, just so as I spy I can get back to my side of the battle :).

Great map and keep up the good work.

Just an awesome, awesome map. I honestly can't think of anything I would change about it.

I've played RC quite a few times, had fun every single time

Same thing with a door near final point, at the left of the tracks... I think so.
I agree with you about that door :)

I just don't know when to quit <sigh>

Updated to RC3.

All shortcut doors are now one way and open for both teams.
Entrance to cave reworked slightly to reduce the effectiveness of sentry farms.
Ramp at CP3 flipped to allow blu easier access.
CP3 Cap point moved back slightly for quicker caps.
Added small health pack in building between CP2 and 3.

Download link in the OP seems to be borked.

But, hey, it's always good to keep refining a map until it's perfect instead of having to keep releasing new "finals" due to new issues popping up. That *is* what the RC process is for.

There are gaps on both sides of this door that allow people to snipe through it.
