This is likely a foolish question on my part, but I just had an idea and I'd like to see if it would work.

Could you attach a light to a moving object? For instance, let's say you're making a custom cart, and you want a light on the front. Could you parent a light_dynamic to the cart, so that as it moves around the light swings around and illuminates various things?

i think it just depends really. As long as theirs enough optimization and you dont go crazy/overboard with this type of lighting it should be fine.

I may have done something massivly wrong, but a single dynamic light in my level was halving the framrate each time it flashed on- really not acceptable. Far as I know, I didn't do anything special other than tell it to "blink", but it may be a special case.

Anywho, I'd be careful with it :p run the map and type "+showbudget" in the console, there's a special graph line just for dynamic lights. (mine was screaming to the limit with every blink...lol).

gl, would be a cool effect- if it doesn't kaboom everything :)
