Prove It.
posted by Walking_Target @ 10:51PM on July 11, 2009
Since everyone seems to be on opposite shifts lately, I'm going to go ahead and post a small update.
At this point I'm going to say that Sessler is probably not going to get back to us, period. I don't know if he never got the email, wasn't interested, or is just ignoring us; in any case, we're not expecting to hear from him. So I say this to him:
Mr. Sessler, if you are so un-biased and fair, then you should be able to talk to reasonable people who disagree with you.
Next on the list is something a bit more personal to me, but never the less, something I feel that the community wants.
Valve has been touting how L4D2 is supposed to be so much different than the original, thus requiring a completely different standalone.
I, Walking_Target, am issuing a challenge, to Valve.
Prove It.
If L4D2 is so drastically different than L4D, then show us. Give some of the community access to the L4D2 demo distributed to the press.
There's no real reason not to. There should be no issues of confidentiallity, as this has already been released to mainstream media sources.
In fact, the only reason I could see not to give certain members of the community access, is that L4D2 is *not* that different than L4D.
Again, this post is from Walking_Target, and it does not necessarily represent the views of the other staff or the community.
Keep up the good work guys!

Frankly it's kind of a petty thing to argue over, and in essence it just sounds like cries for a demo for the sake of having a demo. Still, if Valve even recognizes this outburst, it'd be quite interesting. I'm glad I joined this group. It's like Dawson's Creek over the internet.
