Sorry about this guys, but I'm 100% new to this. I know I have to use Hammer from SDK to make these maps ... but how do I get the TF2 props in it? I can only choose of 3 games in Source SDK where it says Current Game .. and I'm thinking you have to put TF2 there? Because I have Half Life 2 Deathmatch in that current tab... can someone help? What do I do to make these TF2 maps?

Welcome to the forums!

Yes, in order to make a TF2 map, you have to own TF2 (I believe) and have it set as your current game when creating a map in Hammer. In order to add TF2 props you need to add (typically) a prop_static entity, and choose a model to use in the properties window. In the model browser the TF2 props are labeled with a TF.

(If an admin or moderator could move this thread to the "Mapping Discussion" forum that would be helpful.)

Yes theres many mapping tutorials/walkthroughs out there that you should probably dive into first. Most of them are based on standard HL2 or CS but for the purposes of learning how to place entites/brushes they are just fine.

Over at the Steam Mapping forums, they have a list of sites that will help you out:
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=561433

I like this site especially. Its mostly dealing with HL2 mapping, but it has a TON of tutorials, starting at the top with the very basic:

We will certainly try and help you out here, but it will help us a great deal if you already got the basics down.

Oh welcome to the forums and welcome to mapping as well DonMarlo!

Click entity tool/prop_static then double click the cube and find the wolrd model of the TF2 map, these tutorials should help.

Yep, click the links, they'll show you what to do. The props are already in the Hammer editor, you just need to know where to look for them.

Unless I misunderstood, I think you're still loading the SDK in ep1 mode. What you need to do is close the SDK and right click Source SDK on your steam list to bring up the properties window, then under "set launch options" type "-nop4" without the quotes. Reload SDK and Team Fortress 2 should be a game option.

Thanks again, you guys.
