Where to begin. We just had the time of our lives with an oldschool Half-Life 1 deathmatch party. Quite possibly the most fun I've had in quite a while, I even lol'd a bit, which is a rare occurence for me.

It'd be neat if TF2Maps.net members got together on other games (even better, other TF related games) from time to time. We socialize often in the chat room, but outside of those cramped and messy gamedays, there should be a bit more hands-on involvement going on. Even better if someone donated a server.

Ideas?

Yeah, it'd be fun if we did some TFC playthroughs some time. Of course aside from those of us who have already played it, it'd be a slaughterfest (or even worse, there'd only be about 6 of us playing). There's a great deal of stuff to learn from custom TFC maps though, many of them have some very interesting takes on gameplay and environment.

Snarkpit was great fun, whenever Boojum wasn't killing everyone with the Gluon Gun. I did terribly on Crossfire, though. Needed less supertoaster running around with a crowbar. :O It was fun fighting over control of the bunker though. It was equally fun hiding out in the tower and putting a double shotgun blast in the face of everyone who reared their head up the ladder.

*cough* Nova *cough*

I'm not sure what happened to the gibs, but the command ingame is cl_gibcount. It's basically a multiplier of how many gibs and how much blood shoots out of a gibbed player, and I think Boojum was using a value in the hundreds. :O
