It's called "H.A.V.E. Online", and kotaku broke the story:

and here's the HAVE/TF2 trailer comparison:

Bloody hell, when side by side, it's an exact match.

I think the most amusing part of it all is the whole game is rats style. Some of it looks fun though... I've always wanted to play TF2 with everyone thirdperson.

Yea, i always thought a server with thirdperson activated would be an amusing get away from the standard fps of TF2.

Also, I was just thinking this was TF2 rats crossed with anime. IE the initial female scout in a rats map.

This was so.. mind blowing. I mean, i'm lost for words, the weapons, the camera action, the supposed classes. The humour.......

edit: We have some Chinese students on the Graphic Design course i'm on, and they said there's a chinese word for something like this, they did it for one of our briefs, i'll be damned if i could remember it though :( but this gets done a lot in the east. Licensing laws are different over there and is often why you can stream data that would otherwise be deemed illegal for public sharing.

part of me wants to say this takes the Battlefield Heroes style more than TF, sure you got the scout Bat but the third person perspective and all that just screams hybrid of Tf and Battlefeild along with some anime. And I guess their demographic is male since you have mostly anime figurines.

It's like the bastard child of BFH and TF2. With anime vomited all over it.

Lol, wow at the demo man rip off, but what can you expect! People run out of ideas and take the lazy route.

If it does come here to America, I bet It would be on some game thing like ijji, and have a ton of buyable upgrades that last 2 days.

On a side note, I wish you could play tf2 3rd person without sv_cheats 1 on, It would be nice.

What a laughable overreaction. Whoever made the comparisons is seriously telling me that photos of random scenes with characters posing the same way as in various TF2 trailers, means it's a ripoff? Haha. Wow.

When you actually watch the trailer, you'll see that it's very different. There are toy anime girls/robots fighting in a "rats" type of level, in third person. The trailer looks a lot like the first TF2 trailer because it attempts to do the same as that did; to present the different classes in a fighting situation. It's not like the TF2 trailer was original either.

The likeness is either a result of the similar way of presentation (as mentioned), or it's a little homage. The latter does, of course, not mean ripoff in any way.

I'd actually love to play this, if it wasn't for the hideous anime crap that Koreans have to slap onto eveything.
