Wow that totally sucks, I loaded up my map and apparently I was using one of those textures...

I don't like this up date :/

well it's actually a good thing cause these textures usually shows all weird in-game. I remember spending quite some time figuring I couldn't use model texture.

Yeah those model txtures were annoying, for example when I wa smaking a simple bridge I search for wood, and like the first 15 ish results are all models.
Of course I was stuck for ages thinking I had a leak because of the horrid black shadows. :p

Am I the only one who finds ABS' prop library a bit clumsy to use? I'd rather go through having to set the filter to <all mods> then back to the second occurence of tf every time I launch Hammer currently, until I can either tell myself its not or find a way to use it that isn't so clumsy.

Hammer

The texture browser automatically ignores most textures that cannot be placed on brushes or displacements, as well as anything inside a .svn folder for those using svn as their choice of versioning software.

Added additional auto visgroups for sprites and cubemaps

Separated the VRAD calls into two sequential while using HDR (-ldr and -hdr) instead of -both

Model browser is now created once per session

Displacement brush dial now has greater range

Added a stop button to sound previews

That's the update info.

Whut? Model browser now kills your Hammer! \o/

It is specifically doomy for those mappers that don't have access to Boojum's Awesomesauce.

You add custom stuff yourself, so I should hope you know what/where it is. and you can still change skins manually... that's how I always do it regardless.

I'm working on a fix right now. In the mean time please uncheck the "Use VGUI Model Browser" checkbox in the Hammer General options.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

LOL, I wanted to thank you in your other thread but it got closed :(

You sent a complaint to steam about hammer, but I think you need to send it to Valve. Valve deals with hammer and I'm sure different guys who work with steam don't.

Valve=tf2 and hammer game producer
Steam=online game pirate checker browser thingy

I think you need to read a who's who.

Valve=Game company with great long term support (probably something todo with their long term developement times (see valve time wiki entry))

Steam=Game distribution platform made by valve to make patching and distributing games cheaper and easier for companies and customers.

Ea Downloader=Internet Explorer with some new buttons

Model browser crashes me also. One thing funny I have noticed for months now that I never saw before is that on the texture filter when I use TF2, it shows all the TF2 textures of course but somtimes 2 and 3 sets of them. I can scroll down and see them all and then keep scrolling and they are all there again in duplicate. That's weird.
