Greetings,

Im an admin over at the ville (www.theville.org). We have 6 BUSY TF2 servers. 2 of which run customs, one explicitly for experimental stuff like maps and plug ins etc...

Here's our HLStatsX server overview page
http://theville.hlstatsx.com/?game=tf

And here's our forums stats
http://www.theville.org/statistics.php

...just so you guys know Im not blowin smoke up your ass *tee hee*

I know you guys have a TF2 server now and are probably running all kinds of new maps on it, but I wanted to offer access to our huge player base for some of these good customs to get some real exposure. I love it, everytime I have a new version of avantiville there is almost always a full server of cool people that are willing check it out for me.

What Im offering exactly is a weekly "event" where we (theville) host a couple customs, that way authors can join in and get their priceless feedback in-game. I could report back to you guys "We are running ctf_xxx and cp_xxx this week" It would be a great way for the mappers to get feedback and help tie us all together and make a stronger community. I've already got the "go ahead" from the higher ups at the ville and am backed 100%. The server ops have agreed to upload the weekly maps etc etc.

If you guys feel this would be bad for tf2maps.net and its tf2 server, I kindly withdraw my offer.

Thanks for considering :)

Funny you should bring this up. We actually recently had a semi-falling out from this one clan, cuz they pretty much wanted to absorb us in exchange for a server. But a place where we can just put up new stuff once in awhile, I think that is something to consider. In any case, our current server is a bust, as most people here don't actually get around to playing lol. Would be nice to have a server that's pre-populated, as it were.

Ya it wouldnt be anything more than just a simple mutual coordination between tf2maps.net and ville.org of when the maps are on.
