Hi guys,
eerieone, me and maybe some others have a problem with the typical lumberyard trees. The prob is, that the trees in lumberyard look definately better than they do in our maps. The trees there are all better shadered ... but when you look at the map in the hammer editor, you can't find sth different from our maps (I also used exactly the same lumberyard basing lightning).
So I hope some of you guys could help us to make "real" lumberyard trees ;)

short answer: use -staticproplightning for vrad as parameter when compiling.

You'll need -textureshadows and a custom .rad file too because the polygons for the trees extend much further than the actual texture does so your trees will be much darker.

I'd also recommend looking at the new trees that came with arena_sawmill (they're in props_forest like the originals, but have extensions on their names such as "verysmall"). They're a bit more detailed.
