Factory is a Gravel Pit style map, with a twist! Instead, blue must obtain a center control point, then are allowed to capture the last two remaining Control Points in any order they want. What soon starts as a gravel pit style map soon turns into a true Attack & Defend map.

Factory uses dynamic path ways that are active in a single direction based on which of the last points Blue captures first.

You may remember that Factory was a Full CP Push map, however that changed.

Factory is getting ever so closer to its release stage, and we commonly have it's testing over at f7lans.

Things todo to achieve Completion:
  • Re-work some of the 3d skybox scenery, it can be a lot better
  • Red design most of Blue's main Spawn room
  • Fix some logic, and add dynamic signs

As you can see, it's really close.

Wowow... this is looking beautiful. I can't see any places in the screenshots that need to be improved - just maybe only the skybox like you said. Other than that, it looks like a true TF2 map.

oooheh that canyon looks awesome!

Infact the whole lot looks awesome. Is there a 'final' point, or does the defence only have two points to worry about once the middle is taken? Once the middle is taken or is it locked? If its not locked how have you combated the mass confusion and team splitting caused by three points in play??

The last two points require the middle to be captured first, then, Blue team can capture either in this case B, or C in whichever way they want, they could even like Gravelpit, capture both at the same time.

The map is highly detailed, though me and Mr. Happy have kept the visual noise down to guide the players eyes, rather than spamming moving signs in front of them (however we still use a small amount of signs to grab the players attention).

Lastly the Two final points are close together, so this removes the whole problem that Gravelpit had, such as which point was better to defend, and Red would usually default to B.

Much like Dustbowl, a main pathway connects the two points, and then other smaller paths too. So essentially, it's easier for red to stand there ground, with a gentle push occurring over time from Blue, until eventually Red get's pushed all the way back to their very final point.

I think it should have 2 CP's to cap before getting the last one, so it gets more challenging as the round progresses.

But dayum, this map looks amazing!

Yeah, I would advise you put a test version up. Plenty of my maps have suffered from inconsistent detailing or major gameplay flaws that eventually lead me to say, "to hell with this" and outright start over. The map is beautiful but it should be played - not only for your sake, but because it looks like it'd be fun to play! :D

If you follow Gear, then you know this map is getting solid testing.

The lighting in this map is so damn beautiful.

Yeah this is a version thats been Heavily Tested, hence is why we changed to this gameplay mode, because previously our map was just too large and full of detail for Source to even want to care about.
