I want to know if there's a way to make fire ingame (as a fixed, always burning source) and with that fire snipers be able to lit their arrows.
in long:
you could use a particle effect to look like there's a fire somewhere, and perhaps have a trigger multiple that uses addoutput to tell the sniper a friendly pyro is igniting his arrow.
i dunno if that'd work though.
Ofcourse its possible. Create a particle for the visual effect. And use the name from the pyros flamethrower.
Then have a trigger_hurt and set it to burn.
Well, using it to avoid snipers calling pyros all the time for lighting the arrows... I'm making a normal map, having these kind of fire points wouldn't hurt.
Fearlezz: I tried doing that.... well it's dmg type burn, and it's making dmg but not setting either me or the arrow on fire.
