So this is a fun little map I've been working on for the last few days. Ever since Egypt was released, I've had a craving to make an Egypt themed map. So here it is, Arena Gizah (Named after the Gizah Pyramids, just in case you couldn't figure that out). Also a back story:

As usual, RED and BLU are back at it when they discover the Gizah Pyramids hold a bunch of ancient treasure ripe for the taking. As they begin tearing down the famous pyramids, a dissagreement arises and with tensions high, the fighting begins.

(06-03-2009)

B3 Updates:

- Added one-way doors to the first ramp (for time extent purposes).
- Added a larger basement area, instead of a straight shot.
- Added Sniper areas to each of the building's towers.

(05-29-2009)

After 60 seconds the capture point rises from the cavern in the middle and activates.

A few things that need some work:

- Add pyramid entrance to the bottom of the map.
- Rolling dunes in skybox.
- Finish Detailing.
- Add environmental audio.
- Some light fixes.
- Add the two other pyramids and 3 tombs.

Definitely needs a spytech base inside the pyramid. Looks good, although it may turn out to be a little to small.

Scale up the (skybox?) ground texture, it is way too repetitive.

It looks so tiny though! I hope the insides will fix that.

I like the size, regardless of a 3s man arena server. I also feel though thats too much to begin with in a decent arena match. However stating that, I like the idea, and I can see it being awesome to play on. I really hope you get some sexy stuff in the 3d skybox, it's such a small map,you can afford to have a huge super sexy scenery.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreciate it. I took the comments about the map looking small to heart but decided to have a few test games anyway. The resulting comments from players were right on par with all of yours. too small and too quick (definitely not two things anyone wants to hear).

So with those suggestions in mind, I updated the map with some things that change the way its played, but not its core architecture (which was the most important to me). Here are the updates to Arena Gizah (also added to the first post):

I thought since maybe I hadn't played it in so long there'd be another update! What's the deal JP?? I do like all the changes from last time but you should look into expanding it more, possibly consider adding another level before you reach the top and move spawn to the new bottom level.

Anyway let me know what you think.
