First of all, Yo to all you guys on here. Since your all mapping experts and what not i need your help.

When i join an 'achievement_idle' server, i get this error message (see attachment)

I was wondering if there was anyway to delete the current achievement_idle map i have in place to download the new one. I looked all through the steam folders and couldnt find it.

Help much appreciated.

Your BSP (in your /tf/maps/ folder), differs from the one on the server.

Yeah thanks for that. I tried seach but nothing came up!

I also have another problem *sigh*

Everytime i join a game (well most recently) is that i can play for a couple of mins. Then the auto-disconnect comes on in the top right hand corner!

It cant be nothing to do with my online as its fine and im playing another online multiplayer game (Football manager live).

I think my TF2 hates me. So, if i set up my own server, on achievement_idle, would i be able to get unlocks for it?

Cheers

You found nothing? :/
Err, try manually going here:

Program Files\Steam\steamapps\YOUR NAME HERE\team fortress 2\tf\maps

Then find the .bsp file named achievement_idle in the maps folder. Delete it, and you will be able to redownload it from the server you were trying to get into.

As for your second problem; Have you checked your ping on the servers you're playing on? Try to avoid having more than 200 ping (more than 100 ping can also be quite a pain), huge numbers might result in disconnects as far as I know.

And the last one: I'm pretty sure you can NOT get unlocks for idling in a server you set up in-game.

Well im currently in a server now when i have 59 ping. I'll see how it pans out.

Oh and to my fucking surprise it happens again.

Are you sure you can't set up your own idle server, and leave it open?

i´m often playing with 100-200 ping and it plays ok, you might get thrown off the server instantly because some have a 150ping limitation, but you never timeout in that case, only at about 350+
check that your firewall (windows&others) allow tf2 all access to the netz

I am approximately 80% sure if you just open the game and hit "create server" and do your achievement idle map or whatever map, the server does not access steam and thus you do not get your unlocks. If you bust open the console i've always seen a line in there that says the unlocks were disabled due to sv_cheats 1 or something even if i havn't typed it in

I created achievement servers by typing in the following in console:

map achievement_idle; sv_lan 0; heartbeat;

Now, if you want to add bots, do the following:

sv_cheats 1; bot add -red -spy; bot add -red -spy; bot add -red -spy (and on and on); sv_cheats 0;

Then type retry in console and it should work. If you wanted a password, type in sv_password pie in the console, with pie obviously being the password you can connect with.
