[Sounds] Invade CTF announcer sounds

Hello guys,

i made these sound files for my own map which includes Invade CTF. I ripped the CTF files from the gfc file and edited them with Audacity to be used in Invade (no Enemy or Our Flag in the sound files, and i added the instead of Our).

they arent perfect but imho they come close and do their job! (atleast i have anyone heard whine about the sound quality or something!

included files:

announcer_capture_neutral_intel.wav (not for invade, but it announces you to capture THE flag, not the ENEMY flag)

Dunno why no one has commented on this yet. Did you make these by splicing together the sound files already in the game?

In any case I think they're pretty darn helpful, too bad they don't quite work for my map. Good work Wiebbe!

indeed made them from splicing all the other files togheter. If you need something else i could always splice some new ones :p

Hmm i might take you up on that in the future, right now i have found some files that kinda work, but aren't really great.

How would you include these in a level? When you compile does it "pack" them in to the map so when someone loads it via a server the files will be there?

I've never used custom sounds, but i assume you would have to pack them in using pakrat or a similar program.

this pack contains 6 sounds that teamfortress automaticly uses. When you try the invade gametype you will get alot of messages like:

Trying to load sound: /sound/vo/invade_capture_team.wav.

When you include these with pakrat they will be used automaticly.

The other ones can just be called from Hammer itself, you can just type the link to the file. something like /sound/vo/custom.wav

My file in pakrat looks like this:

Also has speed penalty for the flag carrier....

thats about it

scoring is all messed up though, by default. When a player caps the flag, the game awards 30 kills (huh?!).

Not sure if anyone will ever use this again, just saw the link was dead and fixed it incase anyone ever needs it :p

Really cool. But you should try to overwork your interceptions, you can mostly hear it really good.
