Congrats on the map youme, been playing the map on the server all night, and everyone really seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The cloak and dagger is great once you get used to it, move forward a bit, recharge, repeat as needed. I got three dominations this way before a pyro finally made it his purpose to hunt me down. It drains faster than anything if you run or (god forbid) fall while cloaked, but the ability to go sit in a dark corner and bide your time more than makes up for it.

The dead ringer however feels awkward, you have to click the mouse twice to use to for some strange reason (right click then leftclick) It was quite jarring and since I can't really get to grips with spy normally I'll never be able to use this.

What do you mean? You right click once to activate it, and then you wait for someone to shoot you... I never had to left click.

OMG, I'm gonna play all night right through gameday even if I have to play alone :D

So many cool changes. It sucks though because I've been looking foward to spy updates forever but can't wait to snipe with the bow.

Teleports will never be sapped again.

Spies picking up health might suck a little. They already grab extra ammo sitting around.

Too many things to comment on, I think overall though it's about 99% awesome.

Anyone know if the kill you make need to actually have the unlockable you want?

yeah from my first few attempts I made some poor conclusions in my confusion. I've now figured it out and find it to be reaaaaasonable..

Not really imo. In a chaotic scene, your dead body does not really do a lot to convince the enemy team there's not a Spy sneaking around. Add to that the fact that your cloak time is usually closer to 3 seconds than 8, and the fact that you have to wait for the entire thing to refill THEN practically beg your enemy to shoot you, the whole thing seems utterly useless to me. It's practically a case of "would you rather cloak for 10 seconds whenever you want or cloak for 2-8 seconds after getting yourself shot?".

Okay, so I was talking with someone who is a spy enthusiast, who has the dead ringer.

Apparently the way he's been doing it is disguising as a friendly pyro or something, running through the frontlines, getting "killed" as pyro.

Pyro body drops, he cloaks, and he casually walks in with all the fighting going on around him.

Then he disguises, uncloaks, and stab stab stabs away.

That's the idea anyway. Apparently if you're disguised as a friendly, you die AS THAT FRIENDLY =O!

So basically it's really confusing, as you wouldn't see the characteristic blur of the spy because you dead ringered, allowing easier infiltration? Not 100% sure about any of this.

Well, that's kind of dumb. If I see a friendly go down after I spycheck, that's gonna be a complete giveaway.

No, he means disguised as someone on the Spy's own team. So you shoot what appears to be an enemy Pyro, enemy "Pyro" dies. but it was a spy all along.
