Interesting to see this thread come back to life that was started a year ago. It seems the debate still continues.
TF2maps vs FPSbanana

I was gonna reply ZOMBIE THREAD! Like a good old Troll, But PG's post was still relavent. FPSB appears to still be plagued with the same old issues. It has been revived about 3 times now infact and although I'm not fond of zombie threads, especially of ancient discussions, it's something i can see people feel strongly about that they'll continue to rant on about it through the ages.
The best thing about FPSBanana is that I can easily use wget on the server to download files from their mirrors. Copy the download URL, strip away some junk and start the download. Since they have a lot of mirrors it's not that hard to get great download speeds. At the same time it's fairly easy to donate some excess bandwidth by participating in their mirror system.
Other than that, I find this site far better to check out maps and their progress. Plus, the site isn't as buggy as FPSB.
