Hello,

I have been here for some time, and I have no idea why I ever choosed this stupid user name

So I have played TF2 since Christmas, and I think it's a cool game. I like to play pl_badlands pretty much, and favourite classes have to be Spy as the undisputed #1, then Scout. Then Soldier. Triple S.

Now, I have a question. How do you add those wacky details, do you use an entity? I am confused with this new World Hammer -thingy :p

Hey welcome.

Not really sure what you mean by 'wacky' details. Maybe post a screenshot pointing them out?

Also, feel free to join the chatroom where its filled with (mostly) great helpful people .

Welcome, Wacky.

Which details do you mean? People here love to help, but there's (as you've noticed) a lot of possibilities in Hammer. We need a little more to go on. (Like 'How can I put a shovel on a map?' or 'Where can I find that model of a pickup truck?')

As I said in the above post:

" I mean those where you have a fence and behind that is junk. "

I am really confused with World Hammer, so do I need to make prop_detail for that or what?

I mean those where you have a fence and behind that is junk.
Well to be really general, those are most likely props that you want.
You will need to use a prop_static or prop_dynamic entity. After you place it, go to its properties and choose a world model for it. This being whatever you want the prop to be.

yes it does.
although if you zoom out too far, it turns in to a colored square.

you can ofcourse change this in the settings. but one step at a time :)
