Does anyone know an easy way to set the origin of a brush somewhere other than the middle of it?

I went to the Valve wiki, but it just brings you to something called QC Commands, whatever that is.

You can set the origin of a brush entity by moving a little circle in the middle.

The origin of a BRUSH?

I think you can only change the origin of an entity. If you want to, make the brush a func_detail or something and move it like that?

Why do you need to do this?

OH, sorry.

With helpers on, you just move the circle in the middle AFTER clicking on the entity. The circle should be located at the very center of the entity.

Alternatively, open the entity's properties and change the origin manually using coordinates? If you know where you want the origin to be

EDIT: No vertex tool required.

Thanks, but I see no circle with helpers turned on. What tool do you need to use to get the circle? The selection tool?

I'm trying to reset the origin of a func_detail. And I'm working in Hammer. Are you guys talking about some other application?

Like, for a Payload map, you're supposed to set the origin of the func_tracktrain above it so the camera isn't inside it.
