[Moving to public board as of official posting as per Void's request. This is the old development thread. - ABS]

As you can tell by my signature, I'm working on the L4D Crossword.

Here you can throw suggestions at what to put in the Crossword, clues, answers, whatever you please.

I will post what I have tomorrow.

This is being posted in the VIP lounge because nothing in this forum shows up in Google searches. It's private. I'm making sure that this Crossword gets to Valve first.

All clue and answer suggestions will be posted here, and will be discussed in the Group Chat.
The Competed Crossword must not be leaked ANYWHERE. This is being sent to Valve ONLY. Once Valve does what they want with it, we will send it to other sites.

Why am I keeping it secret? Robin Walker emailed me a few days ago stating he wasn't willing to post the TF2 Crossword on the TF2 Blog because it had already made it's way around the internet and it wouldn't show anything other than that Valve was slow.

Anyone who participates in the creation will be mentioned in the fully finished Crossword.

What do you guys want to be credited as? I've always done Aeon "Void" Bollig for myself.

You guys want to follow the same way? First name - Nickname - Last name?

It'd be like the past crosswords with "Puzzle made by..." and then the names of whoever's clues I decided to use.

I got 20 clues filled in by memory last night. I was stuck with crappy no internet, but with the ones here, plus a few others, I should be able to make the 40 Clue goal.

Almost done with the "alpha." Which is basically Black text against a white background, for you guys to look over my spelling, clues, and all that jazz.

I just now got an internet connection, so I'm going to go over the L4D wiki a bit to get my last few clues and make that 40 clue mark.

Sadly, neither I nor any decent free generator could make it all fully condensed and intersected. But it turned out... decent.

Edit:

Here's the "Alpha" in .pdf format.

Give critique or point out spelling/grammar, or just bad things in general.

Like a map in an Alpha stage, no detailing is complete. But let's hope the gameplay is finalized. Empty spaces can be cluttered up in Photoshop with little drawrings like the ones in-game or something.

31 may need to be reworded, as the Tank fits this better (Lady-pleaser would be a hilarious clue but a bit racy)

14 included what as its (no ' trust me)

22 is a bit ambiguous, as Zombies fits too
25 is it not lit? Just checking
27 Mic callout

24 must be removed due to recent patch. Changed wording to "Until recently, new players couldn't join during this event"

31 may need to be reworded, as the Tank fits this better (Lady-pleaser would be a hilarious clue but a bit racy) I guess they say Steroids stunt your growth as well. I was going with the whole "smoking" thing, and, assuming people look at the puzzle, they would tell by the number of spaces.

25 is it not lit? Just checking I've read in various places that it is never lit, plus have never seen a glow, nor a smoky particle effect come from it.
