Railways is small ctf map build with idea of non-hurting trains used as moving obstacles in the central area between team bases.

Updates in a2:

* repaired some minor graphic glitches
* wider stairs in front of spawns
* spawnroom moved to reduce visibility from main building door
* some clips added


Updates in a3:

* blocked tunnel sides and added maintenance tunnel
* trains recreated - now 3 trains with different length circling on each track
* added some details into red base (no finished yet)
* 3D skybox added (not finished yet)
* signs added
* another small changes


Updates in a4:

* odd train angles repaired
* added truck and piles of wood under the rocks next to base entrances to allow anyone jump up the first floor
* added details to red base interior (not finished yet)
* added some more details worldwide


Updates in a5:

* added some props along the railways to fimplify jumping to trains
* reorganized crates around truck and on other side to simplify jumpinf up
* removed one lost prop-pipe floating on bridge


Updates in a5b:

* added nobuild to trains and capture points
* resolved stuck-points on plank bridges
* set door timers valve style (trigger reset 0, door reset -1)
* pipes in tunnel moved into hurt zone to avoid stuck in it

Updates in a6:
* spawn room moved, new corridors added
* tons of details and props

After loong time I made some new changes to map. I moved spawns and make new hall and corridor leading to it. It should improve engi play and more open top bridge way.

After months of inactivity I got back to my map and made another version. There're tons of changes. I'm rather satisfied with layout so now I focused to eye-candyness making details and props.

I'd have it say something along the lines of:

Railways is a compact and fast-paced capture-the-flag map. Two trains moving through the middle battle-ground add an element of randomness to the gameplay.

Railways is designed for quick games, frowning upon turtling inside your base. The Battlefield's two locomotives make sentry and sniper dominations nearly impossible.

Do you feel the power of the diesel engines? Do you feel the ground tremble beneath your feet? Do you feel the urge to hitch a ride to the end of the line? Quit dreaming, maggot! Get over there and kick their collective asses.

That might be changing more than you want, but thats along the lines of what i'd write.

Hey, thanks mate. I really like first and third paragraphs. The second one needs slight change or at last the second sentence. There are not only locomotives going throught but whole trains - three different trains are circling on each track.

Are we going to see a release candidate of this map? I can't tell if the latest alpha is supposed to be an alpha or a finished version. It looks at the very least in beta to me.

Yeah, It's more like RC now. I made versions another way as it's usual here. Something like "while adding content it's alpha, beta correcting bugs and rc after that".

I'll make it beta soon :)
