The name's Martyrus, and I've been playing TF2 for the past six months. However, three months ago, I decided to start creating maps after playing many sessions in a Custom Map server.
I started reading on the Hammer wiki and then googling other sites for help. A friend referred me to one of the well-known mappers Youme (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It was through his Steam page and finally to his group that I found this site.
Anyway, I've created three maps since I started (one for a Steam community to use in an upcoming contest, one that is ready to go 'beta', and another in 'alpha'). I actually have two more on paper waiting to be brushed in Hammer.
I plan on having a nice sit-down as I read through all the tutorials and forums. In the bits and pieces I've read, I think I'll like it here...
