I'm making models for Spytech versions for all payload models. These were requested by Icarus for his map Tug of War style payload: pl_waste

-Cart
. -Model
. -Skin
. -LOD's
. -Physics Box
. -Sounds?
-Track
-Midcap
-Suggestions?

Cart:
First version of the cart that I will compile, I will be tweaking the textures a little more to fit the tf2 style more. I will probably add some radiation signs.

Probably for the second release: New railings, make the actual cart a little smaller.

Like, I said in chat, WOW.

I'm absolutely ecstatic I get to use this.

I'm going to delay B4 until I can get this in :D

I look forward to seeing the finished set!

btw, I really love those pipes.

Don't get me wrong, I like the cart model, but how does it fit spy tech?

Nice work btw.

If i'm right the spytech style is a style based on movies like James Bond, a very secret base with modern (and impossible) equipment, like Valve's raygun.

And I think that this cart fits that style ;)

The cart will probably get a skin that is something like this:

Nice start:thumbup1:

If you want to make it look more like the current bomb cart, maybe try making it bulbous around the center. Kind of breaking out of the cart like valve's. I'm almost imagining a look more like the magnusson device.

If I'd suggest anything, try using specularity with no normal mapping for the metallic texture of the bomb, you might have some interesting results. It may make the nuts and bolts really stand out (if you add any). I'm excited to see the finished thing in game!

It goes really fast when there arnt any bugs :)

This is great news.

Will there be a siren on top of the bomb? What about the dispenser' on the cart?

The textured cart hasnt got all parts enabled (those are not textured yet :p)

EDIT: Added latest shape screenshots to the first post, I think you already seen those if not, shame on me!

Will the timer work with the in-game timer? If so, awesome!
That's not possible in tf2 without custom coding so nope

I know you said you weren't good at texturing, but the model looks very monochrome right now... almost bland.

Nice progress. The polys are fine but the textures need work.

Yes, the texture is quite horrible compared to the original.

Luckily i made the textures in a way so the monochromatic feel can be removed in just a few minutes :)

And that is just a 3ds render, and the other screen is a model viewer render ;) I will post a few pics here with different colors

My original intention was to use chrome tubes from portal like color/reflection, but i can find those textures :(
