Weird problem

Hey all, I want to ask a question. Just lately when I've been testing my map, I've been getting a "Warning: vis decompression overrun" warning in the console. This happens even when I don't compile VIS. My map has been looking really funny in-game, not rendering some faces at different points of the level, etc.

Please help, as I'd really like to be able to test my map properly. :(

Help would be very greatly appreciated! And I would also like to know how this happened in all of a sudden

Thanks alot,
Phil

I had this problem once and it appeared that a brush cut (?) too many leaves. In my map it was a huge playerclip-brush that covered a building in the middle. You should delete or modify any recent changes to your brushes and maybe use some more func_detail - i hope this helps.

That's weird how I have to take out grass... but, OK. I'll let you know if this fixes the problem.

EDIT: It seems that my problem was that I had to delete the overlays which were lillies on the water... I got an error in the compiler where the overlay was going over more than 64 faces... or something along those lines. Maybe it's the fact that compiler doesn't like overlays going through poles and other geometry.

Thanks for the help anyway!
