Hi all,

I started learning hammer about a week ago and am loving it! So easy to use (well... most of it).

My map is a CP map with 4 CP's. Each team has a "home" CP and there are 2 neutral CP's. 1 at the top above ground and one underground. A team wins by capturing both middle CP's and then capturing the other team's home CP.

Here's a few pics of it so far...

It's coming along... there's also stairs going from top area to bottom. There's still a bit of work to get things balanced nicely (like some kind of barriers around the CP's etc).

Cheers,

Fyfey

Impressive bud. One thing to comment on those is that your walls and floors seem to thin for realism. *2nd and 3rd picture*

for a first map and only a week in its looking very nice!

Yeah what Djive said, looks good so far. I generally use 16 for walls and floors.

It looks quite open in the first pic, but it could just be because you are standing top of something.
Is it symetrical?

Thanks for the comments ;)

Ah ok... I just went with 8 for walls, I'll start using 16 then :)

It is a bit open... I'm standing on the battlement bit (you can see it on the base opposite as it is symetrical). I might have to put a bit more cover in... especially in the bottom base.

I just started it as a mess about with hammer, I didn't really plan anything before I started so it'll never be as good as I'd like.

Cheers,
Fyfey :w00t:
