Using Youme's Developer Textures not working?

Hey. I downloaded Youme's Developer Textures for Red and Blu, extracted them into the tf/materials/customdev folder and all as usual. They were in Hammer, so I use them for the map, compile it, and then I try to run it in TF2. All the textures that were meant to be developer had the pink and black checquered texture. I tried recompiling, then running again, and all of the textures were wireframe. It seems to change between these two randomly.

I then thought perhaps I have to pakrat the textures into the map, so I attempted that. I loaded the bsp, clicked Auto, but it didn't find any textures to add. I added them manually instead and saved the bsp, but still no luck. Help? :confused:

Hmmm I'm not sure, seems something is corrupted.
It's a pain but, try re-download all the textures from our website and then re-apply all textures. Pink and black checquered texture generally means that you need to build cubemaps but that doesn't seem the problem...?

I've re-downloaded, re-extracted and generally redone everything I can. I've not yet put lights into the map, so it's merely on the fullbright setting, so cubemaps won't be a problem I assume?

EDIT: Also, I created an example map, just a hollow cube, with an example of the textures in it, to check if it was that particular vmf causing problems, but they were pink+black checquered as well, so it wasn't the vmf.

If I had to guess, I'd say the prob is in teh pakratting, you're re-saving the bsp after clicking the auto or adding manually, right?

I had this same problem once with custom textures. I recompiled under a new mapname repackratted and it worked fine.

As I said, I've attempted to do this on a seperate map and vmf file entirely, and it gives me the same error :/

You sure you added them to the Team Fortress 2/tf/materials
and not sourcesdk_content/tf/materials ?

try this:

take this vmf, save it as "custom2" or something, compile it, and pakrat it.

then load this bsp via pakrat and compare the 2

Alternatively, you can upload your bsp and I'll load it into my pakrat to see if I can make it work.

When trying to extract from the .zip file.

I compiled the vmf, it didn't work, I pakratted it in, didn't work. Same pink+black as always.
